THE ARKEOTEK JOURNAL
ONLINE SOON !
LAUNCHING OF THE JOURNAL IN 2006
The Arkeotek Journal is a scientific review concerned with the archaeology of technology and techniques based on an exclusive online committee of lecture. It is edited according to a new form of publication aimed to favor the rapid reading of scientific constructs, the exhaustive publication of research data, and the automatic production of knowledge bases.
Objectives
Through this innovative publishing format, Arkeotek pursues two objectives: capitalizing on, and accessibility to scientific constructs concerning the archaeology of technology and techniques. This is an epistemological project as well as a practical one: access to the online journal is free.
The Arkeotek Journal plans to become the discipline's premier multilingual journal serving an international readership.
Scientific fields
The Arkeotek Journal includes archaeological studies of technology and actualistic research covering various raw materials (stone, bone, ceramics, textiles, shell, wood ...) as well as a variety of chrono-cultural contexts. Prehistoric and protohistoric research are privileged since there are numerous technological studies for such periods, and therefore the possiblity of already significant knowledge bases developed to them.
