The SCD format is an interactive version of texts rewritten by the authors themselves. It is developed by the publisher ćEditions Epistèmesä ; it edits the logicist rewriting on four screens. Each screen corresponds to a different level, more or less detailed, of the scientific constructs. The first two screens allow for a consultation of the ensemble of propositions (initial, intermediate and final). The next two screens allow for a consultation of details and antecedent propositions as well as the data bases utilized.
1st screen - Outline
The first screen provides a general outline listing the main blocks of propositions organizing the scientific construct. For initial propositions, the thematic content of each block of propositions is laid out (observations, comparisons, analogical references, methodologies ...). For intermediate level propositions, the blocks of propositions are identified by their level in the construct (proposition P1, P2, P3 ...).
2nd screen - Speed-reading of propositions
The second screen permits a rapid reading of the different propositions contained in each block. In other terms, the 2 nd screen allows a rapid consultation of all the propositions that organise a scientific construction. In the case of initial propositions, they may also include general observations which are not utilized in the scientific construct but which are considered important to understand the subject studied as well as the methodological principles involved.
3rd screen - Consultation of propositions
The third screen develops the propositions. For each proposition, there is a commentary accompanied by illustrations, which paraphrases the content of the proposition or which provides complementary information. For initial propositions, facts describing the proposition are detailed on the left. For example, in the case of an artifact typology, the general classificatory proposition is elaborated by a list of different types of objects. In the case of intermediate propositions, the describing facts listed on the left indicate the logico-discursive operations employed.
4th screen - Data base
The fourth screen provides access to series of data employed either in building initial propositions or in the antecedent propositions established by intermediate propositions. It also provides a commentary on those data.
