THE SCD FORMAT

The SCD format is an interactive version of texts rewritten by the authors themselves. It is developed by the publisher Editions Epistèmes; it edits the logicist rewriting on four levels. Each level corresponds to a more or less detailed consultation of the scientific constructs. The first two levels allow for a consultation of the ensemble of propositions (initial, intermediate and final). The next two levels allow for a consultation of details and antecedent propositions as well as the data bases utilized.

1st level - Outline

The first level provides a general outline listing the main blocks of propositions organizing the scientific construct. For initial propositions, the thematic content of each block of propositions is laid out (basic data, frame of comparison, frame of reference). For intermediate level propositions, the blocks of propositions indicate the different stages of the reasoning.

2nd level - Speed-reading of propositions

The second level permits a rapid reading of the different propositions contained in each block. In other terms, the 2 nd screen allows a rapid consultation of all the propositions that organise a scientific construction.

3rd level - Consultation of propositions

The third level develops the propositions. For each proposition, there is a commentary accompanied by illustrations, which paraphrases the content of the proposition or which provides complementary information. For initial propositions, facts describing the proposition are detailed.  In the case of interpretative propositions, the antecedent propositions upon which they rest are indicated in order to unravel the logico-discursive operations employed.

4th level - Data base

The fourth level provides access to series of data employed in building initial propositions. It also provides a commentary on those data
