THE ARKEOTEK ASSOCIATION
The Arkeotek Association was constituted in Nanterre (at the Maison de l'Archéologie et de l'Ethnologie) on 10 December 2002 by its founding members. It was officially created in March 2003. Arkeotek is under the aegis of a governing board and a scientific counsel and governed by its statutes and internal rules.
Becoming a member of Arkeotek is a way to provide financial support for research projects as well as for their publication and information.
Arkeotek, its projects and related objectives, are presently financed thanks to the participation of the following French programs:
Fonds National de la Science and the national network of « Maisons des Sciences de l'Homme », for the progress of the Arkeotek website.
CNRS program "Writing, New Technologies, Communication and Cognition," to study the uses of SCD-formatted monographs.
CNRS program " Archival and Documentary Heritage, Contributions of the Information and Cognitive Sciences," for the development of knowledge bases now under work.
Arkeotek is physically housed in the Maison de l'Archéologie et de l'Ethnologie in Nanterre (Maison René Ginouvès).
